An all-natural living in Santa Maria del Mare, nestled in one of the few green oases in the North of the island of Pellestrina. You will be met inside of the only Ittiturismo in the Island which is home to a few rooms: the structure that over the years has been used for collective purposes, still retains its original character, rooms renovated and decorated with original style, overlooking the corridor that leads to the wide area for collective bathrooms.

Featuring by a restaurant service: your stay will be delighted by the cuisine based on traditional local dishes with products from the fishing valleys and the gardens of the property. Everything served in the shade of the poplars in the garden or in the cozy lounges developed in common environments. An experience of stay really unforgettable , pampered by the peace and nature surrounding.

Experience

A day dedicated of the experience to cycling “vintage”, the opportunity of spend a day with classic vintage bycicle, along the multicolored littoral of the Pellestrina island. Journey enriched by historical and artistic stage along the island. Cultural and historical halt inside of the small museum of the south lagoon, the realization of which have contributed in particular Associations Inhabitants Island.

The artistic stages, however, are dedicated to the painters who were born or lived in the island, of which some works are still preserved in some public places in Pellestrina. Reproductions of the famous Cagnaccio di San Pietro, which is important at international level, are preserved in the Biblioteca Comunale di San Pietro in Volta. The other works, instead bring us back to the life experience of another artist, who lived in the island, Giorgio De Gaspari.

Called by people, Giorgio “foreigner”, namely stranger. A life filled with adventure and travel, a friend of Hugo Pratt, left the caos of Milan, in 1970, arrives in the secluded Island of Pellestrina, a real muse for his art. Several of his works adorn homes today and some of the local restaurants on the Island. Forms of art are not only painting in this island: the lace.

Art work of the precious hands of lace that date, this art passed down to new generations at the office of the Cultural Murazzo which houses the Museum of Lace! To complete the day, reached the southern end of the island of Pellestrina, a ‘last stop will be dedicated to some delicious taste of local cuisine while admiring the wonderful atmosphere in the lagoon at sunset.
